The National Hat Museum was America's LARGEST private hat museum - brimming with information that would have definitely gone to your head! As a result of COVID, decisions had to be made in order to preserve the collection. At this time the entirety of the collection has been put into storage and we no longer offer tours.

We are currently available to hire out for speaking engagements. We do this in order to support the storage of the collection and to continue educating the public about these historical treasures. It would be our greatest pleasure to eventually reopen the museum, and we are always looking for an opportunity to do so.

How can you help? We are often asked if we accept hat donations, and it is these donations that help us to preserve the current collection and to continue to offer educational programs. The gift of your hats makes it possible to upgrade the collection, to use our hats in an outreach program or to sell to offset the cost of storage. If a hat is sold, you can be assured that it has joined a private collection which will be loved and cherished. See our donation page for more detailed information.
